THE CITY HALL
Location: Bistrica ob Sotli
Category: Architectural and ethnological heritage
The building used to be the Grabron’s bar. After a thorough renovation, the building was festively opened as a city hall in 2006. The building’s ground plan is typical for bars in the 19th century. There is also an old vine in front of the building which is at least 150 years old.
The building behind the city hall used to be a butcher’s shop and a cold store. It has a beautiful terrace in the middle. Under it, there is a big underground room, which does not have any windows. This is where a cold store was located. The outside of the building was renovated in 2013, while the inwardness still needs to be renewed.
