Bistrica ob Sotli
On the eastern outskirts of Slovenia lies a small, picturesque municipality Bistrica ob Sotli. Its natural and geographical image is characterized by rivers Bistrica and Sotla, by which the central area by the municipality is named. The municipality stretches across 31 km2 of land, where a little over 1500 inhabitants live. Because of its striking diversity, picturesqueness and intactness of nature, the whole area of the municipality is a part of the protected (natural) zone of Kozjanski regional park and area Natura 2000.
Kumrovec
Municipality Kumrovec is located in the western part of the Krapinsko-Zagorje County and lies on the left bank of the Sutla river. It covers an area of 16 square kilometers. The first written documents which mention the name “Kumrovec” date back to the 15th century, more precisely in 1463 when Kumrovec was one of the estates of Cesargrad, owned by The Counts of Celje. According to the last population census, 1,618 inhabitants live in the municipality. The municipality day is celebrated on November 24. Many natural and cultural treasures are hidden in Kumrovec, but main attraction for visitors is the house where president of former Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito was born and is located in the 'Old Village' Museum in center of Kumrovec.
